One-Click Translations

We show the translation and pronunciation of words and their root words so that you can understand vocabulary and grammar in context

Knowledge Highlighting

Lemmatize automatically highlights words based on how well you know the root form (lemma) of the word. Mark a word once, and all other forms are correctly handled as well

Premium Flashcards

We generate high-quality spaced-repetition flashcards from all the sentences you've seen any form of a word in, not just the original sentence

Learner Focus

Smart Word Highlighting

When you tell Lemmatize that you want to learn a word, we highlight every form of that word in green. Doing things by the root word saves you a ton of work and makes our highlighting and understanding of your knowledge much more accurate.

Our grammar analysis also helps us identify contractions, outdated spellings, and some special features such as separable verbs in German. Check out our Languages page to see what special features we have for your language.

Grammar-Aware Translations

We provide more accurate translations and allow you to see grammar in context by analyzing every word to figure out its part of speech and its root word.

Flashcards that Feel Right

We make spaced-repetition system (SRS) flashcards from the sentences you read, with natural multiple choice options so you can't 'cheat' by looking at part of speech or word endings. We also analyze sentence boundaries to start and end each flashcard at the right place.

You can choose exactly what words to study with optional filtering and sorting by review status, part of speech, how well you know the words, and how many times you've studied them before.
